Top 10 Mother Son or Mother and Child Wedding Songs for Parent Dances

Getting married and not sure what songs to pick for your formalities like grand entrances, bridal party entrances, first dances, parent dances and cake cutting?

This time we’re diving into parent dances. You may have 1 song or a medley. Please let your DJ know if you have a choreography and please be mindful of the duration of your song. It’s up to you how long you’d like it to be. Some people like doing a performance, others don’t like attention so look at the length of your song to determine how long you’d like it to be and let your DJ know.

A DJ will be looking during the whole dance if you signal them to end the song sooner, they will fade it out. A DJ can also shorten the song ahead of time and send it back to you for approval. They may just cut out a verse and chorus. It depends on the song, the song structure and your preference. Give as much clear direction to your DJ by email if possible.

Also please let your DJ know if there is a choreography and what part of the song the choreography is taking place!
